It has been a small over a year since we first reported that Square Enix would be bringing a trading card Role-play game title to Android called Guardian Cross. We first heard about Guardian Cross back in May of last year then seeing it seem at E3 2012 in addition to GamesCom 2012. Since then just about all went silent on the game\’s release on to Google Play till today as Sq . Enix has finally launched it.
Guardian Cross has actually been readily available for a bit for iOS users but Android players can now finally get in on the action. As you may be guessing from the type of game this is, Guardian Cross allows players to capture and train more than 120 creatures which are called Guardians. While there is a storyline for this game, since it is a good RPG after all, the actual meat of this sport will be the multiplayer fits you can partake in.
Guardian Mix Features:
– Hunt Parents with your trusty rifle
– Create the most powerful Guardian army you can
– Compete for limited rewards in an on the internet coliseum
– Enjoy co-op have fun with friends
– Created by gifted staff with a background on the FINAL FANTASY series
For those of you interested in the tale, essentially you\’ll be doing quests to figure out why all of these creatures have decided to wake up following sleeping for a millennium.? Since most players could be more up for the multi-player, your goal will be the exact same in this game as any other TCG which is have the strongest deck/party and beat everyone else in battle.
Players will also be able to get special edition cards featuring \’guardians\’ through Final Fantasy XI as well as Final Fantasy XIV. Actually if you are a Final Fantasy fan then you will most likely notice that Guardian Cross has a lot of the same feel to it because Final Fantasy video games do. That is mostly because a majority of the group who developed this game worked on the Final Fantasy series such as:
– Unique Concept: Hiroyuki Ito (FINAL Dream IV, V, Mire, VIII, IX, XII, FFT, and more)
– Composer: Naoshi Mizuta (Last FANTASY XIII-2, FINAL Dream XI)
– Character Design: Akira Oguro (FINAL FANTASY IV: The After Years, FINAL Dream Dimensions)
What is actually surprising, but also isn\’t really which surprising considering the style of game Guardian Cross falls into, is that you can download and play this game all the way through for free. It is surprising since Square Enix usually prices their games pretty high but considering that this is a TCG title, it really isn\’t surprising at all since most of them are free and are supported through optionally available IAPs.
Thanks to everyone who sent this within!
