Google\’s Niantic Labs possess officially dropped the beta tags that having been hanging off their location-based MMO called Ingress for quite a while now. That means farmville is now available for everyone who happen to would like to get in on the action. Initially this game was designed to drop its experiment with tags on Dec 14th, 2013 but for whatever reason it has happened today instead.

For people not familiar with this game, Ingress is really a location-based MMO that is themed around a mysterious energy that has been discovered. The problem with this is it is influencing the way people think, or at best that is the current belief. Whether this is bad or good remains to be seen however it has caused a split in the human population, making two factions that everyone falls under – The Enlightened and The Resistance.

Ingress officially went into a sort of open beta back in October of this year and Niantic Labs announced in The fall of that it would be officially released on Dec 14th, 2013. If you happened to have been waiting on that day for it to officially launch but nothing happened, you can now grab the game from Google Play for free. You can also read about all the details from the #13MAGNUS event conclusion over on the official Ingress blog post.
