Amazon has introduced a new expansion plan that doesn\’t involve expanding their service to brand new countries but instead expanding their catalog associated with apps and games available through their app store. However, these won\’t be coming in the typical fashion everyone is used to and that is because these will be web applications made using languages like HTML5.

Starting right now Amazon will start accepting HTML5 developed internet applications for sale via their Amazon Appstore. Of course there will also be free ones as well. Currently the selection of titles available is pretty small with only a handful of games and applications right now.

Interestingly enough, IAPs could be incorporated into your web application or game by using Javascript coding. GameCircle integration can also be available as well. In fact pretty much every service Amazon . com offers for regular Android applications and video games can be integrated into the web applications offered up on their appstore. For full details check out the large pr release below.

So what does everybody think about this? Good business strategy or may this not pick up like they think it will. If you\’re a developer, is that this something you will consider doing? Let us know within the comments below.
